Returns Rhino was founded by Alex Goldberg, Onyema Osuagwu and Adam Devine with the mission of democratizing the advanced data science and machine learning used by the biggest companies in the world to personalize customer experience. Born out of the country’s top AI programs, the company is headquartered in New York City and incubated at NYU’s Tandon Future Labs within the School of Engineering.



Alex is the CEO and co-founder of Returns Rhino. Prior to starting the company in 2018, he served as founder and managing director of Canary Ventures. Having founded, scaled, advised and acquired many companies of the course of two decades, Alex has developed deep domain expertise in enterprise software, artificial intelligence, and a wide range of emerging technologies. He began his career helping to build two of the earliest internet infrastructure companies in senior product management and business development roles at ATG (acquired by Oracle) and Open Market followed by a role leading emerging technology research for the CTO of CA Technologies. 

Alex is an active member of the New York Angels, a mentor to more than a dozen startup incubators in NYC and speaks frequently at a range of industry events.  He has served on the Advisory Board at the Nantucket Conference, the Young Professionals Board at Carnegie Hall, the founding board of the World Frontier Forum, and is a longtime active participant in the TED Conference community. Alex has an MBA from Columbia Business School and studied finance in Mumbai, Buenos Aires, London and New York.




Dr. Onyema Osuagwu is the CTO and co-founder of Returns Rhino. He has nearly two decades of experience in the technology and research ecosystem as investor, founder, engineer, professor, and scientist. He is the former Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Thrust Lead for Advanced Health Technologies at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, Lecturer with the Johns Hopkins University Graduate EP Program. He is also a former Associate Professor in Physics and Computer Science at The City University of New York.

Dr. Osuagwu has a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering with an additional Neuroengineering concentration and an M.S. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He also has an M.A. and B.A. in Physics with a Mathematics concentration and a B.A. in Psychology/Neuroscience with concentrations in Computer Science and Physics. Onyema earned his first three degrees while working full time on Wall Street, first as a stockbroker at TD Ameritrade where he was one of the youngest and fastest promoted in the division’s history, then as a senior consultant, a quantitative analyst/developer and finally a proprietary trader at Transmarket Group and Caxton. Onyema actively mentors and advises at-risk students, many of whom are the first in their families to attend college, helping them attain the skills and support necessary for success inside and outside the college experience.




Adam Devine is Chief Marketing Officer and co-founder of Returns Rhino, where he is responsible for driving awareness, demand and revenue for the company. He previously led marketing for WorkFusion, the top provider of AI-driven intelligent automation software for enterprise operations. Adam joined WorkFusion as its first marketer in 2012 and in his 6 year tenure helped to create the cognitive automation category, win some of the company’s most loyal customers and increase revenue 30x. He created and scaled product marketing, demand generation, content marketing, press and analyst relations, and field marketing functions for the company. Prior to joining WorkFusion he founded several companies and held officer roles in strategic planning at some of the top advertising and branding agencies, including Droga5, 360i, and Universal McCann. Adam began his career in management consulting at KPMG’s Banking & Capital Markets practice. 

Adam has authored numerous business and technical papers and speaks frequently about software robotics, cognitive automation, and AI at conferences, including AI & RPA World Summit, Shared Services and Outsourcing Week, and Strata+Hadoop World. He is a Techstars mentor and has advised a number of enterprise software startups in New York City, San Francisco and London. He lives in Manhattan’s West Village and escapes frequently to ski, surf, and kiteboard. Adam holds a BA from the University of Vermont and has done coursework at The New School and Vienna University of Economics and Business.
